Kanwarjit SINGH – MSc (Fiscal Studies), M Sc (Mathematics), Economist and Finance Specialist, 43 years experience
Mr. Kanwarjit Singh is a postgraduate in Mathematics from Delhi University, India and a postgraduate in Fiscal studies from Bath University, UK. He belongs to the 1965 batch of Indian Revenue Service. After training at the National Academy of Administration and the Income Tax Training College, he worked in the Indian Income Tax department from 1967 to 1987 in various capacities and had an excellent record in his entire career in the Income Tax Department. His performance as Commissioner was officially recognized as the best in realization of taxes in the state of Rajasthan. Again, his performance in implementation of computerization was categorized as among the best in the review meetings of the Chief Commissioners. In the nationalized bank and the Public sector undertaking, efficient systems and procedures were put in place by him to ensure that irregular actions were detected early and performance in key areas was monitored closely. Mr. Singh has co-authored a number of studies on different aspects of direct taxation from time to time as part of the committees set up by Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) or under the aegis of National Institute of Public finance and Policy (NIPFP). The areas covered by him included expenditure taxation in place of income taxation; valuation cell working, Likely effect of change in the financial year; Tax deduction at source; Presumptive taxation and taxation of electronic commerce. He has visited IMF in the United States in connection with the study on Presumptive taxation and has given a seminar in the Fiscal division of IMF on this subject. He has also visited the computerized Collection Centre in Fresno to understand the difficulties in implementation of computerization in the income tax department. In OECD Forum 2000 held in France, he represented India in the discussions on Taxation of Electronic Commerce and Harmful tax practices. In the past 5 years, Mr. Singh has been leading assignments pertaining to Tax Issues and Reforms exercises for Public Sector Banks, Asian Development Bank (ADB) and M/S iBILT Technologies in the corporate sector.

Mr. H.V. Krishnamurthy has over 40 years of work experience, of which 20 years as a member of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Mr Saxena is a highly experience banker and financial management expert with over 30 years experience in banking and over 10 years experience as a Director in the corporate sector. He retired as a regional manager in Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) after more than 30 years service. His banking experience was focused on Corporate Finance and advanced import/export operations. He performed financial assessments and provided financial due diligence for many clients such as Glaxo Pharmaceuticals, Delton Cable Co. Ltd, Bharat Alam Fertilizers, Motor General Finance Co. Ltd.
After retirement from HSCB Mr Saxena took up a position as director HR at Dhanuka Agritech Ltd where he implemented measures to improve efficiency and promote the business and helped to significantly increase turnover and reduce overheads during his tenure of 10 years.
Currently Mr Saxena is the Chairman of Total Synergy Consulting Private Limited, overseeing the TSCPL financial service operations and providing corporate direction at the board level.
